Jamaica’s sprint queen Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will face American rising star Sha’Carri Richardson at Sunday’s (23 May) Muller Grand Prix, the opening meeting of the Wanda Diamond League.
Fraser-Pryce, the Doha 2019 World champion, and Richardson, who ran three 10.7s times this season, will face off in the first heat of the women’s 100m.
British world 200m champion Dina Asher-Smith and Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria are also down to compete.
Two other Jamaicans, Natasha Morrison and Natalliah Whyte, are on the startlist.
Other notable names on the list published are Marie-Josée TA LOU of Nigeria and American Javianne OLIVER.
Elaine Thompson-Herah pulled out of the 100m.
Shericka Jackson and Stephenie-Ann McPherson are down for the women’s 400m. Megan Tapper will run the women’s 100m hurdles.
Shanieka Ricketts and Kimberly Williams will take on challengers in the women’s triple jump.
Jamaican Julian Forte faces Adam Gemili, Andre DeGrasse and Kenneth Bednarek in the men’s 200m.
