MANHATTAN, New York – Olympic 110m hurdles champion Omar McLeod has withdrawn from the highly anticipated men’s 60m hurdles dash at the New York Millrose Games scheduled for this Saturday (8 Feb) at the Armory in Washington Heights.

The Jamaican hurdles star, who has unfinished business with American world champion Grant Halloway, withdrew from his season opener after picking up an injury.

This was confirmed by a source close to the organizers on Thursday (6 Feb).

The fans will have to wait a while longer for the sprint hurdles next biggest rivalry.

  1. McLeod is a warrior from Champs days. The brave may fall but never yield. There is nothing wrong in sitting out a meet if he’s not 100% fit. When the right time comes, we will see who is the last man standing.

  2. Yeah. Halloway hurt McLeod’s feelings in Doha and made him crash like a bumper car. It would be a psychological advantage if Halloway beat him this early in an Olympic year. Coward man keep sound bone.

  3. McLeod really hurt or he is just running from Grant Holloway. Grant is on top of his game and will take down anyone that face up to him now.

    Still, I hope McLeod is not seriously hurt and will be back in action soon.
