London 2012 Olympic 400m champion Kirani James will make his comeback at the Memorial Francisco Ramon Higueras on Friday (6 Sept).

James’ last race was at the Diamond League in London last July. He will face former Olympic silver medallist Luguelin Santos from the Dominican Republic, Spain’s European indoor silver medallist Oscar Husillos and Nigeria’s Emmanuel Bamidele.

The men’s 200m will be another highlight on the day’s card.

Former world and Olympic 400m champion LaShawn Merritt is also in comeback mood. He will face Olympic bronze medallist Christophe Lemaitre from France and South African record-holder Clarence Munyai.
