In a release coming from EME News in Ostrava, patrons at one of the most prestigious one day meetings on the Diamond League circuit, are in for a spanking treat of sprinting, come, Thursday (Sept. 1).

The sensational new 200m Olympic Champion, Jamaica’s Elaine Thompson, will be hoping to get her chief rival the Dutch miss, Dafne Schippers for the second time in just over two weeks, as they line up for the Weltklasse in Zurich.

Thompson was down to have the face-off at the Paris DL last Saturday, but the clash was called off as she was already booked for the Lausanne event, where she ran a scorching 10.78 to win the shorter dash, two days prior.

It will be a star-studded field, also featuring many time global gold medalists. USA’s Alyson Felix and Thnpson’s countrywoman, Veronica Campbell-Brown.

Distributed among the four sprinters, are 25 titles at Olympic Games and World Championships, including twelve in individual events
