Gracenote, the world’s leading provider of entertainment data and subsidiary of Tribune Media Company (NYSE: TRCO), has Jamaica to win 11 medals, among them three gold.

According to Gracenote, Usain Bolt, the king of world’s track and field, will lose his first 100m at this level. Bolt first ran the 100 metres at the Beijing 2008 Olympics and won in a then world record 9.69secs. He defended his title in London.

Bolt, who many believe would have lost last year’s World Championships 100m title in Beijing, silenced doubters with another impressive victory over American, Justin Gatlin.

Gracenote said Jamaica’s three gold medals will come from Bolt in the men’s 200m, which will make it three straight, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce in the women’s 100m and the men’s 4x100m relay team.

The statisticians have Bolt to finish second in the men’s 100m behind Gatlin. The other Jamaican silver medal predictions, are for Elaine Thompson in the 200m plus the women’s 4x100m and 4x400m teams.

The predictions, released on July 6, were more than likely done before Jamaica’s Trials, because Asafa Powell and Kaliese Spencer are listed to get bronze medals in the men’s 100m and 400m hurdles respectively.

Also listed for bronze is the world’s only sub-13 seconds 110m hurdler, Omar McLeod and Stephenie-Ann McPherson in the women’s 400m.

  1. Medals are earn on the track? How come Bolt did not earn his spot at the Jamaican Trials.
He get a medal clearance and you drop one of those young men off who finish in the top three in the 100 Meters. He would never made the USA Olympic Team you earn it on the track. Not by medical pass. Wow!

  2. The Jamaican Track Team is known for their sprint 100-200 meters
You finally have a top hurdler. Outside of that what else do you have.
With the weather that your country have you should have one of the
best all-around team in the world. Not just sprints.

  3. This, this, this, I don’t even know how to describe this person, a clown, a fool or an idiot, whichever one, he’s just trying to get our (Jamaicans) attention and reaction…stupid

  4. These statistics need some work. Undefeated Omar McLeod for 3. He has not lost a race all season n is the only sub 13 runner all season. Statistically he can’t lose. N a struggling bolt last year beat gatlin do you think a bolt that after tripping from the block and running 9.88 will lose this year? I dont think so. Yes he has had a little set back but the world must realize that you should never underestimate or doubt the bolt. Speaking of not doubting. it is good that you placed Shelly for first based on history but you didn’t even speak of Elaine in the 100m. Who just ran 10.70. Question marks there . But let’s see how everything plays out

  5. Allyson Felix will win four Olympic Gold medals: 200m, 400m, 4×100 and 4×400. Usain Bolt will win three Olympic Silver medals, that’s if he proves his fitness to make the Jamaican team.

  6. Why do they run the races at Olympics then if we know the results weeks in advance??? Please hand out the medals & the flowers now!!! I’ll wait for the olympics, that’s more fun!!!

  7. Wow, I wounder how many persons would share the view that Justin Gatlin will beat Usain Bolt in #Rio2016 100m final… I don’t, because Bolt, no matter his form, awalys show up when it matters most.
