Christine Day and Natasha Morrison, two members of Jamaica’s team to the Beijing World Championships, have departed MVP.

Both ladies, according to sources, were asked to leave the UTech-based training group.

Day reached the final at the World Championships where she placed 4th in the 400m. She helped Jamaica to gold in the women’s 4x400m relays.

Day, who has a personal best of 50.14, done in the 400m final in Beijing, is said to be on her way to Bert Cameron.

Meanwhile Morrison, who finished second at the Jamaica Trials in June, made it to the semi-finals of the 100m in Beijing, China.

Morrison, who has a personal best of 10.96 done in Beijing, also played a critical part in Jamaica’s 4x100m victory over the USA.

Jonique Day, Christine's sister, Riker Hylton and Ricardo Cunningham are also said to be out of MVP and are training with Bert Cameron.

Efforts to get a comment from MVP president Bruce James was unsuccessful.

Another big name, according to our sources, may also depart.
