Former world 100m record holder Asafa Powell and his wife Alyshia welcomed their newborn earlier this month.
The couple posted a video on social media with Alyshia holding the baby boy in a hospital bed. The video was followed by a photo with the mother standing with the baby in hand and Asafa, shirtless behind kissing the newborn on his forehead.
The photo captioned by Asafa read: “New addition to the family ❤️”
The baby is the third child for Asafa, who set the 100m world record twice, between June 2005 and May 2008 with times of 9.77 and 9.74 seconds.
He won two World Championships 4x100m gold medals and two 100m bronze. He also has an Olympic Games 4x100m gold medal.
