Several stars will be on show at Saturday’s (Mar 2) John Wolmer Speed Fest at the National Stadium.

Live Streaming of the John Wolmer Speed Fest will be on and starting at 9 am.

Olympic sprint double champion Elaine Thompson, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who won back-to-back Olympic 100m titles in 2008 and 2012, along with Asafa Powell, former world 100m record holder, Miguel Francis and Delano Williams, are down to compete.

Thompson and Fraser-Pryce will join Commonwealth Games 400m hurdles champion, Janieve Russell, along with other MVP teammates Kedisha Dallas, Sonikqua Walker and Bahamian Anthonique Strachan in the women’s 400m.

Powell will have the likes of World Championships 100m bronze medallist Nesta Carter, Jevuaghn MInzie, Williams, and Julian Forte, all from MVP, in the men’s one lap.

Francis (Racers), Michael Campbell (UTech), Anthony Carpenter (Akan), Carter (MVP), Everton Clarke (Sprintec), Andrew Fisher (Sprintec), Demish Gaye (Sprintec) and Michael O’Hara (Racers) will line-up in the men’s 200m.

Sherone Simpson, Anastasia Le-Roy, Natasha Morrison and Tovia Jenkins, all from Sprintec, have entered for the women’s 200m dash. Barbadian Sada Williams (UTech), Joden Williams (Swept) and Ashley Williams (GC Foster) are also listed for the event.

Oshane Bailey (GC Foster College), Rusheen McDonald (MVP) and Rasheed Dwyer (Sprintec) are in the men’s 100m

Shashalee Forbes of Sprintec is the headliner for the women’s 100m. Shellece Clarke (UTech), Kasheika Cameron (UTech), Stephenie-Ann McPherson and Jodean Williams will also start in this event.

Megan Tapper, Melaine Walker and Shimayra Williams of MVP are the big names in the women’s 100m hurdles.

Daszay Freeman of The Queens School is down for the Class 1 girls’ 100m hurdles.
