Former Commonwealth long jump champion Blessing Okagbare has targeted breaking the African record of 7.12m in her event before she retires.

The 30-year-old Nigerian, who has a PB of 7.00m, told Making of Champions she wants to erase the mark of Chioma Ajunwa to complete a trio of records.

“I have this goal to break the African record in all three events which I did in the 100m, I’ve done in the 200m, and still looking forward to that 7.12m in the long jump, which I think I’m capable of,” she said.
