David Rudisha has resumed training ahead of the 2019 season, informs the Citizen Digital.
“I have slowly resumed training after the injury I suffered last year and thereafter early this year,” he said.
“I have completely recovered and I am looking forward to next year. Right now my focus is on the World Championships which I intend to use in readiness for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics,” he added.
The Kenyan hasn’t raced since 4 July 2017 when he won in Szekesfehervar in Hungary in 1:44.90.

Rudisha is the 2012 and 2016 Olympic champion, 2-time World Champion (2011 and 2015), and world record holder in the 800 metres. He is the first and only person to ever run under 1:41 for the event.
