Shaunae Miller-Uibo achieved the women’s high jump/shot put double at last weekend’s Bahamas Championships in Nassau.
She was the only competitor in the women’s shot put from which she achieved a mark of 11.48m.
Miller-Uibo says its now back to business
Miller-Uibo said she and her coach spoke about things, so after doing the high jump and shot put, “its back to business.”
The Beijing 2015 World Championships 400m silver medallist is enjoying a fantastic season.
She set a lifetime best of 16.23 in the 150m, flashed to a new world indoor record over of 35.45 seconds for the 300m while posting times of 49.52 and 22.06 for the 400m and 200m events.
Meanwhile, Warren Fraser won the men’s 100m in 10.36, beating Shavez Hart, 10.45. Hart returned on Sunday (24 June) to take the 200m in 20.90
The women’s 100m was won by Alexis Gray in 11.85 while Tynia Gaither topped the 200m dash in 23.17.
Alonzo Russell took the men’s 400m in 45.52 ahead of Stephen Newbold, 46.17 and Michael Mathieu, 46.40.
