Omar McLeod won the men’s 100m while Kerron Stewart was second in the women’s event on Friday’s (30 March) penultimate day of the Florida Relays in Gainesville, Florida.

McLeod, the World and Olympic Games 110m hurdles champion, clocked 10.32 (+0.2m/s wind) to take the overall top spot ahead of Jaylan Mitchell, the heat 5 winner in 10.35.

Mobolade Ajomale, who was in McLeod’s heat 1, finished third overall with 10.37.

In the women’s event, Stewart finished 2rd in 11.41secs, beaten only by Javianne Oliver, who crossed the line in 11.39.

Sydney McLaughlin continued to show superb form. After her impressive 200m PB of 22.39 on Thursday (29 March), she returned to clock another top life-time best 50.07 in the 400m. The mark is also a World lead and 6th all-time U20 performer.

Sharrika Barnett was second in the event with 50.93secs, also a personal best while Brionna Thomas picked up the third place spot with 51.72.

In the men’s 200m, South African Ncincilili Titi, 20.36 (+0.9) beat Terrance Laird, 20.41 and Riak Reese 20.43. 

NCAA Champion Grant Holloway won the 110m hurdles in 13.45 (+0.7). Also Nathan Strother won the 400m in 45.46.

In women’s hurdles, Puerto Rican Jasmine Camacho-Quinn topped the field in 12.77 (-0.8m/s).
