FAYETTEVILLE, Arkansas – Dominique Blake was the winner of the women’s 400m at the Arkansas Invitational on January 12, 2018.

Her time of 53.25 got the better of Daina Harper, 53.38. Trinidad and Tobago’s Sparkle McKnight was third in 54.49.

Alena Brooks, also of T&T, ran 1:27.56 for second in the women’s 600m, topped by Chrishuna Williams, 1:26.99.

Jamaican Kemar Mowatt, who ran the 400m hurdles in London 2016, tested his speed with 8.08 and 21.44 over 60m hurdles and 200m respectively.

Shakiel Chattoo won the 60m hurdles in 7.84 and Marqueze Washington, the 200m in 20.64.

Meanwhile, Daeshon Gordon of Northwestern State, won the women’s 60m hurdles in 8.42 at the Ted Nelson Invitational on January 12, 2018.

Gordon, who won the 2014 Jamaica Junior Trials 100m hurdles and went on to represent the country at the World Under-20 Championships, beat Jerica Love of Incarnate Word, 8.49.
