Roje Stona and Stacey-Ann Williams were the best placed Jamaicans at Saturday’s (15 Jan) Clemson Invitational held at the Clemson Indoor Track & Field Complex. Kevona Davis was 9th.

In the women’s 300m, Stacey-Ann Williams ran 36.95 to take third for University of Texas. Kevona Davis, Williams’ teammate, was ninth in 38.32.
The event went to Talitha Diggs of Florida in 36.37 ahead of Rhasidat Adeleke of Texas, 36.87.
Jacory Patterson of Florida ran a new NCAA record of 31.99 to win the men’s 300m. He beat the previous record of 32.28.
Ryan Willie of Florida finished second in 33.03.
Kyron McMaster of BVI finished ninth in 33.78.
Jamaican Roje Stona, representing Clemson, threw 18.95m for second in the men’s shot put. Adrian Piperi of Texas dominated with 20.71.
The other Jamaican, Courtney Lawrence of Kennesaw State, finished fifth with 18.44m.
Shantae Foreman, representing Clemson, cleared 1.73m for fourth in the women’s high jump. Amina Smith won the event with a clearance of 1.85m.
Former Immaculate athlete Danielle Sloley, representing Clemson, threw 15.38m in the women’s shot put. The event went to Ana da Silva of Georgia, 16.53n.
Imogen Barrett of Florida won the women’s 800m in 2:05.64. Cole Lindhorst of Texas won the men’s event in 1:48.64.
Edidiong Odiong of Florida State topped the women’s 200m in 23.34 ahead of Jonah Ross of North Carolina A&T, 23.55
Matthew Boling of Georgia was the men’s 200m winner. He ran 20.49 to beat Javonte Harding of North Carolina, 20.71.
