Jamaica’s Olympic and World Championships 200m medallist, Warren Weir and his fiancé Alexan Stewart welcomed their newborn last week.
Weir, who won Olympic Games 200m bronze at London 2012 and silver at the Moscow 2013 World Championships, announced the news with a photo of himself and Lexi with the caption “Gift of God.”
The baby girl was delivered on May 13, 2020. “My BIGGEST BLESSING • My LOVE • My PURPOSE • My REASON • “GIFT of GOD,” were the words Stewart posted on Instagram.

Australian Olympic and World Championships 100m hurdles silver medallist, Sally Pearson, commented with “congratulations.”
Several track and field athletes, including Jamaicans Natoya Goule and Nathon Allen, also wrote congratulatory messages.
Trinidad and Tobago’s athletes Kelly-Ann Baptiste, who won bronze in the Daegu 2011 World Championships, and
Machel Cedenio also said “congrats.”
Gleaner Sports editor Andre Lowe also added his voice with “Blessings.”
