KINGSTON, Jamaica: The Queen’s School Alumnae Association and sponsors are pleased to announce the 19th staging of the annual Queen’s/Grace Jackson Meet on Saturday, January 25, 2020, at the National Stadium.

The order of events includes but is not limited to 200m, 400m, 4x400m, long jump and high jump. The event will commence at 8:30am; Tickets will cost patrons $700 per adult and $400 per student (with ID) or child (under 12 years old) upon entry. Accommodation will be at the Grand Stand only.

The meet remains a qualifying meet for the Boy’s and Girls’ Championships, and elite and collegiate athletes will use The Queen’s/Grace Jackson Meet as their season opener for 2020.

Competing schools from across the island will not only vie for medals and sponsor prizes but competitors with the best times will also qualify for the 2020 Issa Boys and Girls Championship, with the 4x400m a time qualifying spot.

World U20 sprint double champion Briana Williams will run at this year’s staging of the event.

An added event for this year again is a special 60m which should see some of our Olympians on track. Results of the Meet will also be accessed online, at said address. The organisers appreciate the support of Corporate Jamaica and wish to commend and thank all the sponsors for their unwavering commitment to the development of sporting activities through sponsorship.

The general public is encouraged to come out and enjoy the undisputed talent and performance to be showcased and support sports development in Jamaica.
