Asafa Powell to run at Meeting de Paris

Former 100m World record holder Asafa Powell pulled out of Paris Indoor meet on Sunday due to a hamstring injury.

Top names in the 60m are US Mike Rodgers, reigning European indoor champion Richard Kilty and returning Spanish record holder Yunier Perez.

Local stars Renaud Lavillenie, Kevin Mayer and Pascal Martinot-Lagarde are also down for the meet.

World champions Sam Kendricks and Shawn Barber are the pole vaulters.

In the hurdles, Orlando Ortega faces Hungarian Balazs Baji and Aurel Manga.

On the women’s side, Swiss record holder Mujinga Kambundji takes on fastest Pole Ewa Swoboda and home World indoor finalist Carolle Zahi and Orlann Ombissa-Dzangue.
