Ackera Nugent is a former World U20 champion and record holder in the 100m hurdles. She is a sophomore at Arkansas and took first place in the women’s 60m hurdles at the Razorback Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas on January 28, 2023.

Nugent, a sophomore at Arkansas, had a personal best time of 7.88 seconds. Leah Phillips from LSU came in second with a time of 8.02 seconds, followed by Jayla Hollis from Florida in 8.19 seconds.

Jamaican Daszay Freeman, also from Arkansas, placed fourth with a time of 8.21 seconds.

Tonea Marshall Takes First in Women’s 60m Hurdles Open

In the women’s 60m hurdles open, Tonea Marshall of the United States won with a time of 7.95 seconds. Americans Anna Cockrell, 8.02, and Taliyah Brooks, 8.04, came in second and third, respectively. Anna Hall, also from the United States, placed fourth with a time of 8.20 seconds.

Tinotenda Matiyenga from Zimbabwe won the men’s 60m with a time of 6.75 seconds. Raymond Ekevwo from Nigeria placed second in 6.80 seconds, followed by Ian Braxton of the United States in 7.20 seconds.

In the men’s 400m, Christopher Bailey from Arkansas took first place with a time of 45.09 seconds. Sean Burrell from LSU came in second with a time of 46.37 seconds, followed by Justin Braun from USC with a time of 46.42 seconds.

Trey Cunningham of the United States won the men’s 60m hurdles with a time of 7.60 seconds. Matthew Lewis-Banks from Arkansas placed second with a personal best time of 7.72 seconds, followed by Phillip Lemonious from Arkansas with a time of 7.73 seconds.

McKenzie Long from Ole Miss won the women’s 60m final with a time of 7.28 seconds. Dajaz Defrand from Florida State placed second with 7.29 seconds, followed by Kynnedy Flannel from Florida with a personal best time of 7.31 seconds.

Koi Johnson Sets Personal Best in Women’s Triple Jump

Koi Johnson from Baylor won the women’s triple jump with a personal best distance of 13.00 meters. Victoria Josse from Florida State came in second with a distance of 12.81 meters, followed by Kayla Pinkard from Florida State with a mark of 12.69 meters.

In the men’s triple jump, Emanuel Ihemeje from Italy won with a distance of 16.99 meters, equaling his personal best and the world lead. James Carter from Iowa placed second with a personal best effort of 16.14 meters, followed by Sean Dixon-Bodie from Florida with 16.01 meters.
