Oblique Seville, representing Racers Track Club, won the men’s 100m dash at the John Wolmer’s Speed Fest held at the National Stadium in Kingston on Saturday, March 18.

Seville, competing in the sixth heat, recorded an impressive 10.13 seconds despite facing a -2.0m/s headwind.
GC Foster College’s Kadrian Goldson came in second with a time of 10.43 seconds. Julian Forte, who won heat five, placed second overall with a time of 10.27 seconds. Forte’s Elite Performance teammate, Sachin Dennis, the former STETHS star, finished third overall with a time of 10.32 seconds.
In the women’s 100m event, Michaell Moodie emerged victorious with a time of 11.78 seconds, narrowly edging out Crystal Morrison, who finished in 11.85 seconds.
The men’s 200m race saw Zharnel Hughes, another Racers representative, dominate with a winning time of 20.25 seconds. Ackeem Blake of Titans finished second in 20.84 seconds, while Tyquendo Tracey of Swept took third place with a time of 20.89 seconds.
Barbadian athlete Sada Williams, competing for MVP, shone in the women’s 200m event. The 400m bronze medalist from the Eugene 2022 World Championships secured first place with a time of 23.12 seconds, followed by Natasha Morrison in second place at 23.53 seconds.
The men’s 400m event witnessed a nail-biting finish as Antonio Watson of Racers edged out his rivals to claim victory with a personal best time of 45.78 seconds. Assinie Wilson of Titans closely followed in second place at 45.80 seconds, and Deandre Watkin of Elite Performance placed third with a time of 45.81 seconds.
Rushell Clayton from Elite Performance claimed the women’s 400m title with a time of 53.78 seconds. MVP’s Shana Kaye Anderson finished as the runner-up, clocking in at 53.84 seconds.
