Fred Kerley was on fire at Saturday’s (16 April) USATF Golden Games inside Hilmer Lodge’s Stadium in Walnut, California, USA.

The Tokyo 2022 Olympic Games 100m bronze medallist, Fred Kerley, beat fellow American Michael Norman on the line – 19.80 to 19.83 to win the men’s 200m.

Micah Williams won the men’s 100m, running 9.83 to beat fellow American Brandon Carnes, 9.93. The wind reading was +2.5m/s.
Williams ran 9.96 (+3.1m/s wind) in the prelims.

United States’ Twanisha Terry won the women’s 100m dash in 10.77 ahead of compatriots Aleia Hobbs, 10.80 and Gabby Thomas, 10.86 (+3.3m/s).

Briana Williams finished 5th in the final with 10.97. She won her heat in 10.91 (+3.0m/s).

Elaine Thompson-Herah won her heat in 10.89 (+1.6m/s) but skipped the final.

Gabby Thomas topped the women’s 200m in 22.02 (+1.9m/s) ahead of Brittany Brown, 22.29.

Raven Rogers of the USA took the women’s 800m in 1:58.77, and Tonea Marshall, also of the United States, won the 100m hurdles in 12.46.

Jamaican Danniel Thomas-Dodd was the women’s shot put winner with 18.92m.
