Omar McLeod ready for Millrose Games

Jamaica’s World indoor 60m hurdles gold medallist Omar McLeod ran the fastest preliminary time at Sunday’s (7 Feb) American Track League in Arkansas.

McLeod, who won the World Indoor title in 2016, ran 7.55 to qualify easier for the final. The run is McLeod’s first 60m hurdles this season as he opened his season with a 60m run two weeks ago.

American Michel Dickson, winner of heat one in 7.62, enters the final as the second-fastest. Jason Joseph of Switzerland is the next best at 7.63.

Ruebin Walters of Trinidad and Tobago is also in the final with 7.76.

Eddie Lovett of US Virgin Islands with 7.95 failed to make the final.

Great Britain’s Adelle Tracey won the women’s 800m final in 2:02.11 ahead of Americans Sophia Gorriaran, 2:02.44 and Nikki Hiltz, 2:02.51.
