Caster Semenya, who has recently signed for South African football club JVW, says she has not retired from athletics.

Earlier this year, the Olympic 800m champion lost her legal case against the IAAF’s new gender rules.

Under the new rules, Semenya would have to take testosterone-limiting drugs to compete in her main event.

She wrote on Twitter: “Being a footballer doesn’t mean I’m no longer a track and field athlete. Just making things clear.”
