Day 2 of the 2016 Jamaica Olympic Games Trials ended on Friday night at the National Stadium in Kingston.

Elaine Thompson, 10.70 beat Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, 10.93, Christania Williams 10.97 and Veronica Campbell-Brown, 11.10 for the women’s 100m title while Yohan Blake, 9.95 won men’s crown ahead of Nickel Ashmeade, 9.96, Jevaughn Minzie, 10.02 PB and Asafa Powell, 10.03.

Usain Bolt, who muscled his way into the final with another sluggish run in the semi-final of the men’s 100m, pulled out of the race and the entire Olympic Trials altogether with an hamstring injury.
