ZAGREB, Croatia – Asafa Powell registered his 100th sub-10 seconds clocking at today’s (9 Sept) 65th Hanzekovic Memorial, the penultimate IAAF World Challenge meet of 2015.

Powell went under 10 seconds for the 100th time in all-conditions, but it was his 93rd legal time following 9.96 (0.3m/s) run. Mike Rodgers, who was unable to mount a big challenge, finished 2nd in 10.10.

Kim Collins of St. Kitts and Nevis was 5th in 10.31

“Thank u every1 for the love on the 93rd (yes technically it's 101 but not all count,” said Powell on twitter.

Jamaican Novlene Williams Mills (51.81) finished third in the women’s 400m, won by American Natasha Hastings 51.20.

In the men’s javelin, Olympic winner Keshorn Walcott threw 82.99m but finished behind Germans Thomas Rohler 85.44 and Andreas Hoffman 84.98.

Ramil Guliyev of Turkey improved big time to 19.88 (-0.4m/s) in winning the men’s 200m. The 25 year old, who earlier ran 10.18 in the 100m, beat his previous personal best of 20.01. The time is a national record and moves him to 6th on the European all-time list.

Lykourgos-Stefanos Tsakonas of Greece ran 20.45 to beat Diamond Race winner Alonso Edward (20.45) for the silver medal position.

World 110mH champion Sergey Shubenkov kept his winning streak going with a 13.11 (0.5m/s) win, well ahead of Pascal Martinot Lagarde (13.50).

Jamaican Andrew Riley finished third in 13.52.

Jamaican World bronze medallist O’Dayne Richards was second in the men’s shot put with a throw of 21.29m. The winner was Thomas Walsh of New Zealand wih 21.62.

Isabelle Pedersen surprised by winning the 100mH, running 12.86 (0.3) to equal the personal best she set in Beijing. Another European once again upstaged Tiffany Porter, who was second in 12.91. World medallist Cindy Roleder was 4th with 12.99.

American Candyce McGrone topped the women’s 100m 11.10 (-0.1m.s) to beat Marie Josee Ta Lou (11.17).

Simone Facey of Jamaica finished 3rd in 11.25 and compatriot Sherone Simpson, 5th in 11.37. Semoy Hackett of Trinidad & Tobago was 7th in 11.60
