World 200m champion Shericka Jackson won the women’s 100m at Saturday’s (30 July) Meeting Internazionale Sport e Solidarieta in Italy.

Shericka Jackson, who won the Oregon22 World Athletics Championships 200m gold and 100m silver medals, topped the meet’s event in 11.13.

MVP athletes dominated the top five positions against a -0.2m/s wind. Natasha Morrison took second in 11.31 while Shokoria Wallace finished third in 11.36.

Kasheika Cameron finished fourth in 11.73, while Krystal Sloley rounded off the top five with 11.85.

Emmanuel Matadi of Liberia won the men’s event in 10.11 ahead of Yenns R.Fernandez of Cuba, 10.25 and Chen Guanfeng of China, 10.37.

Who won the women’s 400m final?

Junelle Bromfield ran away with the women’s 400m, crossing the line in 52.35. She beat Kateryna Karpyuk of Ukraine, 53.10 and Alexandra Bezekova of Slovakia, 54.27.

Italian Sintayehu Vissa won the women’s 800m in 2:01.57, and Abubaker Haydar Abdalla of Qatar, won the men’s event in 1:46.05.

Ossama Meslek of Italy set a new meeting record of 3:36.04 in the men’s 1500m. Marta Zenoni topped the women’s 1500m in 4:09.23.
