The quartet comprising the Clayton twins (Tina and Tia), Brandy Hall and Serena Cole demonstrated the true meaning of social distancing when they sped to a world-leading 43.37 seconds. The time is also the fourth-fastest time in history at the U20 level.

The team coached by Michael Dyke continued its rich streak by winning three more relays under wet conditions – the open 4x200m, the class four 4x100m and 4x800m open.

Hydel High was impressionable too. They won the class two girls 4x100m in 44.62 seconds and 4x400m by a country mile in 3:33.76, followed by Edwin Allen almost eight seconds adrift in 3:41.66.

The Gibson McCook Relays boys’ section was a ding-dong affair with the main protagonists. Jamaica College, Kingston College, Calabar and St. Jago High shared the spoils.

In the class one 4x100m, St. Jago High (40.26) running out of lane eight upstaged Jamaica College (40.40) in an exciting finish triggered by the animated gesture of the St. Jago runner on anchor as he whizzed the Jamaica College athlete, who was in disbelief.

The Monk Street boys showed that they were a clear and present danger as they returned to capture the class three boys 4x200m in 1:36.11 and brought the curtains down with a truly magical victory in the 4x400m open in 3:10.48.
