Tiana Wilson and Robert Gregory won the 200m finals on Friday’s (9 April) opening day of the Texas A&M Team Invitational in Texas, USA.

Wilson (Arkansas) topped the women’s 200m final in 23.07. She beat Jada Baylark (Arkansas), 23.17 and Laila Owens (Texas A&M), 23.21.

Jamaican Daszay Freeman, representing Arkansas, finished fifth in 23.56.

In the men’s race, Robert Gregory (TCU) was the fastest with 20.14. Deon Lendore (Trinidad and Tobago), 20.40 and Bryan Henderson (Sam Houston), 20.59 took the minor places.

Norma Monie (Houston) threw 56.60m for a new personal best and facility record in the women’s discus. Julie Perez (Rice) 53.79m and Lacee Barnes (UTSA) 51.52m also got personal-best marks.

Sam Woodley (Rice) also got a personal best and facility record of 58.71 in the men’s discus. Josh Brown (Texas A&M) 56.72 and Ryan Camp (TCU) 53.78 also got personal-best marks.

Carter Bajoit (Texas A&M) cleared 2.15m, a new personal best and facility record.
