Brianna McNeal

Olympic 100m hurdles champion Brianna McNeal said she has been trying to remain positive amid COVID-19 restrictions.

She told athleticsweekly.com: “I wouldn’t say it’s a good place to be, but there are positives.”

The coronavirus, which has killed over 89,898 worldwide, caused many events to be postponed or cancelled in the last three months.

She added: “Like taking care of yourself and spending time with family and being able to do things that you cannot normally do because you would not have time.”

“We are still able to train on the track. That hasn’t been taken away, but I have not been able to get any treatment like massages to take care of my body for a while.”
