BIRMINGHAM, USA – Trinidad and Tobago’s male athlete of the year, Jereem Richards, ran 1:02.79 for second in the 500m here at the Blazer Invitational.

Richards, the London 2017 World Championships 200m silver medallist, was only beaten by Leander Forbes, 1:02.38.

Jamaican Christopher Grant ran 6.70s in the men’s 60m.

On the women’s side, Americans Jesica Beard and rising star Tamari Davis, were both beaten in their events.

Beard ran 38.11 for second in the women’s 300m behind Tamara Clark 36.56. In the 60m, Davis’ 7.28 was third to Brandee Presley 7.18, and Tamara Clark, 7.23.
