Jamaica’s Olympic relay silver medallist, Chrisann Gordon, won the women’s Olympic Development 400m at Friday’s (10 Feb) Tyson Invitational.

The meet held at Randal Tyson Track Complex at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, also saw the return of Dominique Blake, who was suspended in 2012 for four years.

Gordon, who helped Jamaica to silver in the women’s 4x400m at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, won the event in 51.71 seconds, representing Texas University. Chrishuna Williams, representing Nike, was second in 52.02.

“This is my second indoor 400m for the season. My plan was to be as relax as possible and I did just that. I am very happy with the time, and I am looking forward to indoor NCAA championship next month,” said Gordon.

Trinidad and Tobago’s Sparkle McKnight, 52.65 and Blake, 52.91 were third and fourth respectively.

Javianne Oliver of Kentucky, 7.19, won the women’s 60m dash ahead of LSU’s Mikiah Brisco, 7.22.
Brisco won the women’s 60m hurdles in 7.98.
