Gayon Evans was the only Jamaican winner at Saturday’s IAAF Indoor World Series in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Evans, who is coached by Maurice Wilson at GC Foster College, won the final of the women’s 60m in new personal best 7.14 seconds.

Dina Asher-Smith of Great Britain finished second in 7.15 and Norway’s Ezinne Okparaebo, third in 7.19.

Earlier, in heat 1, Evans ran 7.20 for second in behind Asher-Smith’s world leading time 7.13.

Demar Forbes, also of Jamaica, leapt 7.44 for 6th in the men’s long jump, won by South African Godfrey Khotso Mokoena, 8.05m
