CHARLOTTESVILLE – 2004 World Juniors representative, Jamaican Monique Morgan improved to 12.84 (+1.8) at 100m hurdles during Virginia Grand Prix meet on Saturday (9 May).

Yvette Lewis of Panama was second behind Morgan in 13.03.

Canadian Noelle Montcalm won the 400m hurdles in 56.76 while Payton Hazzard of Grenada  clocked 33.37 in the 300m.

Over in Jacksonville, Florida, US Olympic medalist Walter Dix won the 100m at UNF Invite with 10.31 (+1.2).

James Harris of USA clocked 46.17 in the 400m and Eddie Lovett of Virgin Islands 13.57 (+1.0) over the hurdles.

Ngoni Makusha from Zimbabwe leapt to 7.85m (+2.2) in the long jump while in the women’s 100m hurdles, American Lutisha Bowen picked up a personal best 12.97 (+1.3 m/s).
