MONTREAL, Canada – Olympic Games 400m silver medallist Luguelin Santos will attempt to break the 600m World all-time best at the Canadian Indoor Championships in February.

Santos' agent Kris Mychasiw made the disclosure.

The 21-year-old ran 1:16.90 for the distance in Montreal last year. The fastest time recorded for 600m indoors is 1:15:12, done by Nico Motchebon of Germany in 1999.
