Julien Alfred Dominates Big 12 Championships with Blistering Run, Kevona Davis Comes Up Short.

Julien Alfred has delivered an incredible performance at the Big 12 Indoor Championships, winning the 200m with a blistering time of 22.26 seconds.

This remarkable achievement is not only the 2nd fastest NCAA time ever recorded but also the 4th fastest time in the world all time, setting a new St. Lucian record in the process.

Despite Jamaican national Kevona Davis leading the qualifiers into the final, she finished out of the medals. Alfred was joined on the podium by two fellow Texas Longhorns teammates – Lanae Thomas, who finished in second place with a time of 22.63 seconds and earned 8 points, and Rosemary Chukwuma in third place with a time of 22.68 seconds and earning 6 points.

Davis finished in fourth place with a time of 22.76 seconds, earning 5 points.

Courtney Lindsey of Texas Tech University won the men’s 200m in 20.13 seconds. Demar Francis of Baylor University finished second with a time of 20.46 seconds, and Adam Clayton of Texas Tech University third with a time of 20.59 seconds.
