Elaine Thompson-Herah wins Tokyo 2020 women's 100m final ahead of Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson

tokyo 2020 alertsJamaica is setting 2nd on the medal table for track and field at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Elaine Thompson-Herah led a Jamaican 1-2-3 in the women’s 100m final.

Thompson-Herah set a new Olympic and Jamaica record of 10.61. It was Thompson-Herah’s second straight title, having won five years ago in Rio 2016.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, who won titles in Beijing 2008 and London 2012, won the silver medal in 10.74 and Shericka Jackson, the bronze in a personal best of 10.76.
