Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, according to reports, has pulled out of Saturday’s (28 Aug) Paris Diamond League Meeting at the Charléty stadium.
AFP is reporting that Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games 100m silver medallist, Fraser-Pryce, pulled out because of “fatigue.”
Organisers of the event in the French capital said Fraser-Pryce told them she was “very tired.”
The 34-year-old, after the Tokyo 2020 appearance, ran 10.73 at the Prefontaine Classic and 10.60, the third-fastest time ever in Lausanne. Both races were in the space of a week.
Only Thompson-Herah, 10.54, ran last week, and world-record holder Florence Griffith-Joyner, 10.49, ran faster than Fraser-Pryce.
