Bermudian Ashley Irby opened up her indoor season by competing in the Liberty Kickoff 2020.

Irby competed in the 1000m and placed 2nd in a time of 3:03.35. Anna Twomey, Irby’s Elon teammate, won the event in 3:02.98s.

Kristiana Young of Liberty finished 3rd in 3:03.58.

Liberty’s Christian Lyon won the men’s sprint double, running 6.75 in the 60m and 21.12 in the 200m.

Mellissa Jefferson of Coastal Carolina won the women’s 60m dash in 7.55.

Alejandro Zapata topped the men’s 400m in 46.63 while Cortney Strohman of Liberty was the female winner in 55.06.

Hampton’s Adetoun Oluwole was the women’s 60m hurdles winner in 8.59 while Jovaine Atkinson took the men’s event in 7.80.
