Omar Mcleod and Shaune Miller-Uibo opened their outdoor campaigns on Saturday (April 27).

Miller-Uibo completed her first 400 meters this season in 49.05 at the Tom Jones Memorial on Gainesville, Fl. It was the fastest time ever run before June in IAAF history, only a .08 of a second off her Personal Best set last year of 48.97 in Monaco.

McLeod’s opener was not quite as successful, losing to Collegian hurdler Daniel Roberts in the 110 hurdles at the Drake Relays. McLeod was second in 13.29, to Roberts’ 13.28.

This was McLeod’s first loss at Drake in five years. He still holds the event record st the meet in 2017 of 13.04
