MONACO – The IAAF Ethics Board suspended Athletics Kenya Chief Executive Officer Isaac Mwangi for six months for subverting the anti-doping control process in Kenya.

Chairman of the Ethics Board Michael Beloff, said in a statement on Monday that they have effected the suspension so as to safeguard the interests and integrity of the sport.

Beloff, however, noted that Mwangi remains presumed innocent until the outcome of the investigation and the determination of any disciplinary charges which may follow upon the completion of the investigation.

Mwangi, who is also the 2017 World Under-18 Championships Local Organising Committee CEO, is the fourth Athletics Kenya (AK) official to face suspension over doping and corruption related charges.
