Jamaica and Bahamas won two of the same colour medals on day two of the IAAF World Indoor Championships in Sopot, Poland on Saturday (8 March).

Kaliese Spencer, who timed her race perfectly, took silver in the women's 400m in a personal best 51.54 seconds. Bahamian Shaunae Miller, who went out fast, dropped back to 3rd in the two-lap event, her time 52.06. Francena McCorory of USA, who came rushing on the last lap, won the event in 51.12

Kimberly Williams added Jamaica's second medal, bronze in the women's triple final with a mark of 14.39m. Ekaterina Koneva (RUS) won gold with 14.46m 

Chris Brown, the father of Bahamas' track and field, produced a personal best effort to win silver in the men's 400m final in 45.58. Winner Pavel MASLÁK (CZE) 45.24

Meanwhile, Jamaicans Nesta Carter 6.57 and Kimmari Roach 6.58 were 7th and 8th in the men's 60m final respectively.
