Tiffany James struck gold for Jamaica in the women’s 400m at the IAAF World Under-20 Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland on Thursday (21 July).
The Mico University College student, coached by 1983 World 400m champion Bertland Cameron, ran a lifetime best 51.32 to take the top spot in the one lap event.
Junelle Bromfield, Jamaica’s other entrant in the final, pocketed the bronze in 52.05. American Lynna Irby took silver in 51.39
