Information reaching trackalerts.com is that a Jamaican 4x100m team of Bolt, Yohan Blake, Mario Forsythe and Marvin Anderson has been confirmed to face-off with seven other teams, including the USA at the meet.

"Jamaica with four Racers guys have been confirmed for the relay, and they promised they will be going after the world record," said a source close to the organizing committee.

At the 2010 Penn Relays in April, Bolt's team fell short of Jamaica's world record of 37.10, set by the quartet of Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Bolt and Asafa Powell at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Racers ran 37.90secs to set a new Penn Relays time for the event –improving the previous mark of 37.92 set by the Americans in 2009.

Bolt's anchor leg run (8.79) at Penn Relays was just .09seconds under the blistering 8.70secs Powell ran on the anchor leg of the victorious Jamaican Olympic 4×100-metre relay team in Beijing.

And since then, Forsythe has dropped his personal best to 10.06, while Blake, who ran a stunning 19.78 seconds in Monaco on Thursday, has been consistently in the 9.9 region.
Not much has been seen of Anderson, who has been affected by injuries since early this season.

No way they get a new WR without Asafa and Bolt is not 100% he was in 2008. Sorry Not going to happen.

don't forget that daniel baily is on the racers track club too. he,s a 9.9 man also. when they ran in england last year they 37.4. so they can break the world record if they run to their potential.

I doubt they will break the world record but they will come close to it or even better the time that the team run at World Championships last year.

Looking at this outside the box.. this overall is great for Jamaica. Last year the JAAA and Jamaicans were standing on pins and needle due to MVP actions...worrying if Asafa is going to run and this and that. Next year I bet every athlete will be in a straight line and aligned with the team interest or their @ss will be on the outside looking in.

Being from the same club might make the baton changing more efficient but I still find it hard to believe that a team with only two sub 10 seconds runner could run faster than 37.10. I think the baton changing will be superb and this will enable them to run an excellent time but a world record, I have strong doubt.
Again nothing is impossible. Bolt and Blake is definately faster than at Penn Relays and I ssume that at this time of the year the other two might be in better form too. Add that with more time to practice and improve on the baton changing and who knows. I wouldn't be shocked but I would definately be surprise if the break the world record..

Quoting treysway:
Sir..Mario has ran 10.0 this season..which planet you been on  and Anderson has not done anything impressive this season as i may recall..so if any one to be replace its him...and thats dat cuz i said so! 8)

you need to recheck the real stats homes, Mario is not as fast as you want him to be. Until he proves he' can consistenly run below 10.10 then I'll say he's a viable candidate for a team capable of breaking the world record. Currently he's not.

I think it will be a real test for these guys to get this record...Bolt and Blake are very good, but I don't think the other two guys will help to push them enough for the record.

Mario and Marvin, I think will have to run sub-10 for them to get the record.
