Barlett take Signal Hill Secondary house title

BACOLET, Tobago - Chevelle Mc Pherson led Barlett House to the championship award at the annual Signal Hill Secondary annual Sports meet which ended at the Dwight Yorke Stadium, Bacolet on Friday.

Pherson claimed four gold medals by taking the girls under 15 100, 200, long jump and shot put events. Barlett copped the overall award with 1,502 points ahead of Yorke (1,315), St. Clair (1,050) and Wheeler (973).
Mc Pherson and her house mates dominated the girls under 15 division as Asha James took the 400 and javelin honours and Shadae Daniel taking the discus throw. Kadisha Wilson (girls under 20 100/200/400), Stephen Clarke (boys under 15 100/200) and Antonio Clinton (boys under 15 discus/javelin) all contributed valuable points to the yellow clad team.
The Yorke duo of Shaquanna Scott (girls under 14 100/200/long jump) and Tariq Horford (boys under 14 100/200/long jump) were all triple winners for the runner-up while Khemani Roberts took the girls under 17 100 and 200.
The standouts for St. Clair were Sherice Crichlow (girls under 17 400/long jump), Chelsea James (girls under 17 shot put/discus), Andwuelle Wright (boys under 17 100/long jump) and Desmond Legerton (boys under 17 400/800).
Barlett began the day by taking the March past crown.
The top athletes will represent Signal Hill Secondary at the Tobago Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships which have been rescheduled to February 13 and 14 at the Dwight Yorke Stadium.
