Fraser-Pryce ran a blistering world-leading time of 10.74 to win the women’s 100m ahead of a strong field.

Fraser-Pryce, after her world leading run, said: “Based on the replay my start wasn’t too good, I came out of the blocks too high but I came out with the win so I guess that’s a plus."

Nigeria’s Blessing Okagbare (10.80) was second and American English Gradner took third in 10.97 seconds.

Fellow Jamaican Natasha Morrison finished seventh with a time of 11.10.
