Jamaican superstars Asafa Powell and Veronica Campbell-Brown will headline the Atlanta leg of the American Track League (ATL).

Powell, a former World Record Holder in the 100m, 3-time Olympian, is looking to run his fastest time this year of 9.80 seconds.

Headlining the women’s 200m is 4-time Olympian and 7-time Olympic medalist, Campbell-Brown.

Many other World Class athletes will be in attendance including Atlanta native and 3-Time Olympic Medalist DeeDee Trotter.

The American Track League is heading back to Atlanta for a night filled with entertainment both on and off the track. The meet will be held on August 1st with the gates opening at 6:30pm, live music to begin at 7:00pm and the first field event beginning at 7:30pm.

The event will be held at Emory University at the Woodruff PE Center and Track Complex, 600 Asbury Circle, Atlanta, GA 30322. Tickets can be purchased at getatltix.com or at the gate.

In addition to the elite athletes on the field, DJ Urbanite Disco, a live band and the ATL Dance Team will provide entertainment throughout the meet.

The American Track League is a unique format track meet designed for fan interaction and entertainment.

The meet will begin with the women’s pole vault, where spectators are invited down onto the infield to get an up close and intimate experience. Athletes will also be available for autographs and pictures following their events.

The ATL has previously hosted meets in Bloomington, IN, Charlottesville, VA, San Marcos and Houston, TX. You don’t want to miss out on this one of a kind track meet.
