Former World 100m Champion, Kim Collins has confirmed to this St. Kitts & Nevis Amateur Athletic Association (SKNAAA) that he will be making his triumphant return to the National Youth, Junior and Senior Championships scheduled for June 13th – 14th 2015. Dubbed as the most anticipated Nationals in the history of the SKNAAA, Collins is expected to compete against a star-studded field featuring a host of world-renowned athletes from the Federation.

Sprint double and three peat National Champion, Antoine Adams is dubbed as Collins’ fiercest competitor. He has undoubtedly displayed his dominance amongst his fellow Kittitians and Nevisians at Nationals and impressed his supporters during his short professional campaign on the circuit. Who will be victorious? Is it the veteran or the youth?

We cannot however take our eyes off the talent exuded by the likes of Jason Rogers, who two (2) years ago almost spoilt what turned out to be Adams’ winning streak by 1000th of a second in the 100m. Also in the mix are Olympians Brijesh Lawrence, Lestrod Rolland and Delwayne Delaney along with World Relay Medalist Allistar Clarke.

Collins’ 100m National Junior Record is currently under threat by 18-year-old Junior Athlete Hakeem Huggins, who is consistently running below 10.5 seconds in the 100m.

Collins currently holds the National Record in the Men’s 100m (9.96s) and 60m indoor (6.47s) and in 2015 remains undefeated in the world with the latter. He’s also the World Masters Record holder in both events. The 200m National Record (20.08s) is currently held by Adams who on two (2) occasions ran below Collins’ lifetime best in that respective event.

The Championships will be held at the Kim Collins Athletic Stadium.

A host of internationally renowned athletes will be announced shortly to aid the most anticipated championships of the year!
