Kingston College (KC) won the High School Boys’ 4x100m Championship of America title at Penn Relays on Saturday (30 April).

The quartet of Shivnarine Smalling, Akeem Bloomfield, Jhevaughn Matherson and Tyreke Bryan took their team across the line in 39.63 and equalled the Penn Relays record Calabar set in 2015.

Bloomfield, who was on the second leg, commented: “It was a very exciting race.”

“The plan was just to get the stick around and everyone gave a good account of themselves.
“Now we have bragging rights,” he ended saying.

Calabar with Xavier Angus, Fabian Hewitt, Michael Stephens and Seanie Selvin finished second in 39.89secs.

Andre Morrison, Raheem Chambers, Gary Gordon, Micheal Bentley helped St. Jago to 40.63 for 4th place.

Excelsior with Malique Scott, Imar Tomlinson, Andel Miller and Brandon Bembridge took 6th in 41.44

Jamaica College (JC) was disqualified after crossing the line in 41.10. The team members were Chislon Gordon, Micheal Campbell, Obrien Wasome and Devaughn Baker

STETHS with Nigel Ellis did not finish.
