Zharnel Hughes ran the fastest 200m time at last Saturday’s GC Foster Classic held inside the National Stadium in Kingston.

Hughes of Anguilla topped the field in 20.50.

Kemar Bailey-Cole, who won his heat, was second overall in 20.66 while his Racers teammate Terrel Cotton got third in 20.78.

Jevaughn Minzie, also of Racers and a heat winner, was 8th overall in 20.94. Tyquendo Tracey, who helped off Usain Bolt in the 4x100m at Gibson Relays, also did 20.94.

Michael Frater, the 2003 World Championships 100m silver medallist, ran 21.64 for 20th in the event.

In the women’s event, Shericka Jackson was the winner in 22.89. Elaine Thompson, Jackson’s UTech teammate, finished second overall in 23.09.

Anastasia Le-Roy of Sprintec was third in 23.11 while Natasha Morrison, also of UTech, and Shericka Williams of MVP, both did 23.36.

Shymayia Williams (UTech) 23.37, Kedisha Dallas (GC Foster College) 23.62, Jodean Williams (UWI Mona) 23.87, Gayon Evans (Sprintec) 24.02 and Carrie Russell (MVP) 24.70 were other notable names.
