KINGSTON (EME News) – Saturday´s Jamaica Invitational, a IAAF World Challenge meeting, will have some interesting sprint clashes at the National Stadium.

In men’s 100m, Jamaicans Kemar Bailey-Cole, Julian Forte and Oshane Bailey face USA favorites Mike Rodgers and Tyson Gay.

Also in the field for first time is 40- year-old Kim Collins of St. Kitts and Nevis.

In the 200m, Asafa Powell will make very special appearance, his first over the distance at the National Stadium in over 5 years. He was 8th in his last outing at this same meet, 21.40secs, in 2011.

His main rivals are PanAm Games silver medalist Rasheed Dwyer and Belgian Jonathan Borlee.

Meanwhile, Borlee’s twin brother Kevin will run the 400m where he will face US Vernon Norwood, Briton Martyn Rooney, Trinidad and Tobago´s Deon Lendore.

Locals Rusheen McDonald, the only Jamaica to run sub-44, Peter Matthews and Javon Francis will be trying to spoil the foreigners’ party.
