Edwin Allen won their second straight High School Girls' 4x100m Championship of America title at the 121st Penn Relays.

The quartet of Aaliyah Hopkins, Patrice Moody, Saqukine Cameron & Shellece Clark stopped the clock in 45.40.

Hopkins, who led off, described the victory as “very sweet” while Cameron, the only Class 1 (over 17) athlete on the team, said “I know these Classes 2 girls got it in them.”

Coach Michael Dyke said, “we came in as the underdog, but we were just waiting for the right time to put the team together.”

 St. Jago, the pre race favourite with Kimone Shaw, Petagay Williams, Shanice Reid and Natalliah Whyte, finished second in 45.86.

Jamaican teams rounded off the top four with Holmwood Tech (Kerry-Ann Scott, Sashalee Forbes, Britney Hew and Shantae Deer) 45.94 and Wolmer's Girls (Kimberly Leach, Shauna Helps, Trudy-Anne Williamson and Shantae Mcdonald) 46.63.
